Individual Therapy
Individual counseling can help reduce stress, improve self-esteem, develop more productive ways of communicating, and improve your relationships. In individual counseling we will work together to understand and express your emotions, process difficult feelings and experiences, think about maladaptive relational patterns and learn new ways of being.
-
Couples Therapy
Couples seek therapy at many different stages of their relationship, not just when things feel hopeless. In Couples Therapy the focus is less on the health of the individuals, and more about the health of the relationship. Couples therapy can be helpful in many ways. We use it to build strong relationships, to repair troubled ones, to deepen and enrich good ones, and to separate well from ones that have, or need to, come to an end. In session we discuss relationship dynamics, identify problem areas, and work on developing new ways of being with each other.

Early Childhood/Play Therapy
Children need a safe place to play and explore their feelings. It is normal for children to experience fear and sadness, but when these things interfere with school, friends, and activities, seeking a consultation with a professional can be very helpful. Children are affected by mood disorders, with symptoms often appearing in children as young as 2 or 3 years old. Child psychotherapy may be useful for you if you or your child have faced any of the following difficulties: separation or divorce, inattention, anger management, bullying, frequent transitions, post Covid readjustment. etc.

Adolescent Therapy
If your teenager is struggling and you are at a loss for how to help them, we are here for you. The middle and high school years can be some of the most challenging for everyone but especially for those of us living in highly competitive environments. Our therapists can help you and your child navigate through this period successfully by helping your child develop effective coping strategies, improve their communication skills, and build greater resilience. Are you unsure if your tween or teen is going through a typical "moody stage" or if something more severe is happening? Does your child seem lethargic, withdrawn, anxious, or irritable? You know your child best, and if you think there may be a problem, getting support and guidance from a professional is a good idea.

Parent-Child Therapy
Each parent-child relationship is unique. From single parents, to same-sex parents, adoptive families, divorced families, to traditional two-parent families - every parent-child relationship has its own strengths and challenges. By understanding your child’s behavior you and your family will move toward a more relaxed and satisfying relationship. It is helpful to seek support if you frequently feel: Angry with your children , overwhelmed by their needs (including special needs), struggling with discipline, worried about balancing empathy with boundaries. Parent-child psychotherapy can take the shape of a dyad, where we work together with your child. Parent-child psychotherapy can also look like individual parent "coaching" where we discuss difficult moments of parenting and reflect on your past and present experiences. Parenting is muscle memory.
